This project happened in the last few weeks of school. We designed prototypes to show the heads of our school. My group and I really wanted to create a classroom that was a fun and benefited the whole school. We had to prototype multiple times throughout this project. What I really liked to do was to prototype in 3D because it was a real hands on project and it really helped me grow and understand this. What I didn't like was creating the last few stages in this project just because it was super math driven and math isn't one of my strong suits.
I this project we had to use all of these different kind of programs such as photoshop and sketch up. I didn't get to use sketch up that much but when I did it was really fun and interesting. I think I learned mostly about how to put all of our final products onto photoshop and making it look good. I had to use all of these different kind of tools to place it and make it look good. I am not one to have perfect photos hoping skills which can be hard in these kind of projects.
I ran into a few problems through this project for example around half way through the project we had some trouble with one of our group mates showing up ready to work. It really made me upset through the rest of the project. I didn't feel as motivated in the end of the project because I was doing a large majority of the project.
I think that it is important for kids to have a voice in what their school looks and feels like but I do think this project was very hard for some people to grasp. I didn't enjoy this project to much because of how it was onto of our 20% project so it felt very unorganized and rushed. I also think that if the teachers are thinking of doing this again they should maybe makes sure they have enough time for everything that they want to do.
